The Project - Introduction

The Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee was set up to provide advice on the progress and direction of the project. The members represent the statewide views of their organisations, and disseminate information to appropriate people within their organisation. All major groups with involvement with Volunteer Ambulance Officers were invited to nominate a representative.

The following organisations and groups were represented on the Advisory Committee:

Tasmanian Ambulance Service
Volunteer Ambulance Officers’ Association Executive Committee
Non-VAO Association Volunteer Ambulance Officers
Tasmanian Fire Service and State Emergency Services
Department of Health and Human Services, Rural Health Unit
Rural Consumers
Rural General Practitioners
Victorian and South Australian Emergency Services.
