Project Details

The project has

Asked volunteers what they need through survey and focus groups;
Developed strategies to address volunteer needs;
Developed a database to track volunteer recruitment, training and retention;
Established a second-stage project to survey Australian Volunteer Ambulance Officers, and
Published the findings in a project report - ‘Asking Volunteers - Volunteer Ambulance Officers have their say’.

Ahead

Implementation of the strategies will be ongoing and managed by Tasmanian Ambulance Services.
‘Stand-up and Be Counted’ will build on the work of the More than a Band-Aid project.
