Georgie joined the UDRH in 2004 under the Australian Government's Primary Health Care Research, Evaluation and Development strategy (PHCRED), which aims to foster research capacity building in Australian general practice and primary health care. Georgie is currently completing her PHCRED project on issues surrounding the early diagnosis of dementia, titled "How do Tasmanian General Practitioners' understandings of dementia impact on the diagnostic process". Georgie is also involved in a number of core UDRH projects and will be coordinating the Professional Development and Continuing Education (PD&CE) program in 2006. Georgie will begin work on her PhD in early 2006.
